The Old Mill Hotel
The Old Mill stands on the site of Springwood Mill built in 1842–43, it was used for woollen manufacturing, the site expanded over the years to house various textile, cotton waste, oil, and tallow operations that remained active until the mid-20th century. The mill and surrounding lodges were demolished in the 1950s, and after the tallow works closed in 1965, the old industrial site was repurposed and reopened as the Old Mill in 1967. In 1988, the site was further transformed into the Old Mill Hotel, which continues today as the Old Mill Hotel & Leisure Club


Peel Tower
Peel Tower was built in 1852 on Holcombe Hill, overlooking Ramsbottom, in honour of Sir Robert Peel—the founder of the metropolitan police force. In the 19th it was also used as a lookout post during World War II. Today, Peel Tower is a popular hiking destination and a symbol of local pride
